Float over the vineyards on the Rüdesheim cable car and enjoy the most beautiful route up to Niederwald. A ride is always an experience, whether as the start of a day trip, part of the popular Ringtour or simply as a little break in between.
As you soar above the vines, the Rhine lies at your feet, and once you reach the top, the Niederwald Monumentthe temple and numerous hiking trails through the Ostein coppice forest. The cable car itself looks back on an eventful past: as early as the end of the 19th century, a cog railroad transported visitors to the newly built Niederwald Monument with the famous Germania. In 1954, it was replaced by today's cable car, which has since carried millions of visitors gently and silently over the sea of vines.
After the cable car ride, our panoramic terrace "Am Niederwald" invites you to take a relaxing break. Here you can let your gaze wander over the valley and enjoy the view with a glass of Rheingau wine, a cool drink or a freshly prepared snack from the Snack Bar .
